At no time in history has Taronga’s role in wildlife conservation been more critical. With 31,000 species at risk of extinction and 96% of the world’s biomass occupied by humans and domesticated plants and animals there's not much space left for wildlife. Climate change is also putting additional pressure on our planet and wildlife. Australia has lost more mammals to extinction than any other country in the world. Taronga is committed to halting that trend.

Your fundraising will protect endangered and at-risk species from extinction.

We believe that all of us have a responsibility to protect the world’s precious wildlife, not just in our lifetime, but for generations to come.

That’s why we want you to join Team Taronga and help raise funds to support Taronga’s wildlife conservation efforts, both within Australia and internationally.

Taronga Conservation Society Australia is a zoo-based not-for-profit conservation organisation with over 100 years of history and a truly global reach.

The funds raised will allow Taronga to continue to breed threatened species, carry on vital scientific research and deliver conservation programs here in Australia and across the globe

Your donation will enable Taronga to:

  • Protect wildlife by supporting vital breed for release programs and bring species back from the brink of extinction
  • Drive the science, education and collaboration needed to save species and the habitats on which they depend
  • Contribute to a shared future for wildlife and people.

Everyone is capable and can do great things to protect our planet and wildlife! Every dollar counts and will go directly back into the care and conservation of wildlife, and now more than ever wildlife needs all the support it can get.

It’s easy and free to join Team Taronga! Click here to sign up and follow the steps to create your own personalised page where you can receive donations, post updates and share your fundraising efforts.

So we can provide you with help and guidance when you need it. Once you’re registered we’ll be able to help you make the most of your fundraising event.

Plus - when you register you get your very own fundraising page that you can customise to your own challenge. You can use this link to share with your family and friends to ask for donations and support.

For Participants

Once you've logged in to your Team Taronga account, you will be directed to your profile page. Click here to Login.

Once you’ve signed up, you’ll have created your very own Team Taronga profile page. This profile page has a unique URL / link that you can share with family, friends and colleagues to encourage donations.

On your profile page, people can make a donation through our secure payment gateway using a valid credit card or Paypal.

Your username is the email address you used during registration – please contact us on [email protected] if you cannot remember the email you registered with.

When looking at your fundraising page, simply click on the buttons to share your page via Twitter, Facebook, Email, or copy your link to send it in a way of your choice.

You’ll first need to be signed up as an individual.

Once you’ve signed up, you can create or join a team from your profile page. On the left-hand column, scroll down to 'Join a Team' and you can select to 'Create a Team' or 'Find a Team' to join!

All online donations made through the Team Taronga website are automatically processed and come straight to us, so there's no need to worry on your end!

However, if you have any offline donations (such as cash, cheques or EFTs) please get in touch with us on [email protected], or call our support team between Monday - Thursday 9am - 5pm on (02) 9978 4668 to discuss the processing of offline donations.

For Donors

You can also search for individual or teams to donate to!

Donations over $2 (AUD) are tax-deductible. Taronga Conservation Society Australia is proudly not-for-profit and is endorsed as a deductible gift recipient by the Australian Taxation Office of Australia. If you would like more information about Tax Deductibility, please contact [email protected] .

It may take a few minutes for a receipt to be generated. If you still haven’t received your receipt after a few hours, please check your Junk Mail folder. It is possible that our emails are triggering the Junk or Spam filter settings on your email provider. If the receipt is not in your Junk folder, and you still haven’t received it after a couple of hours please contact us at [email protected].

Security is an important priority for us and we are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the most up-to-date technology available to protect your personal details. To avoid the risk of computer fraud, your debit/credit card number is not stored in our system at any point in the payment process. Please see our privacy policy for further information. All debit/credit card transactions are encrypted before transmission using 128 bit SSL encryption. Please click on the SSL Seal in the URL area of a participant or team profile page to verify our details.

Our payments are processed using Stripe Payments. Stripe specialises in delivering successful eCommerce payment gateway services to thousands of merchants. Stripe is an international company with a trusted name in eCommerce solutions and is at the forefront of the online payment industry. Processing donations through this platform, we had to ensure we were PCI compliant, which is the utmost level of security when processing payments online.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Paypal for online donations.

For offline donations, we accept cheques, EFT's and bank transfers. Please contact us on [email protected] or call our support team on (02) 9978 4668 to discuss processing your offline donation.
